Holy Redeemer Hospital
Design and construction management services for facility-wide AHU upgrade and electrical coordination study
Holy Redeemer Hospital
Location: Holy Redeemer Health System, Meadowbrook PA
Facility-wide AHU upgrade
Highlights: The MEP/FP design to modernize hospital air handling units (AHUs) replaced thirteen units serving existing hospital spaces: ORs, CSPD, Pharmacy, Materials Management, ED, Cath Lab, ICU, maternity suite, patient wings & MOB. These units, fitted with final filters, provide 5632 tons of cooling and 466 MBH of heating. Another three existing units were upgraded with DX supplemental cooling.
Challenges: Constrained by the 24/7 facility operation supporting critical hospital programs.
Facility-wide electrical coordination study
Highlights: The electrical coordination and arc flash study allows for the safe, efficient and economical operation of the facility electrical system. Hospitals change and expand over time as programming changes, necessitating a comprehensive evaluation of the evolved system. SE surveyed, poured over the available existing system documentation and used SKM software to complete the study for the 570,000 SQFT healthcare organization.
