Highlights:
The HVAC design allows a comfortable environment utilizing BACNET controlled VAV boxes – comfortable, flexible and energy efficient.
0-10V LED lighting, with daylighting in perimeter zones, takes advantage of the available natural light and exterior views. Automated blinds alleviate uncomfortable glare when conditions warrant.
Challenges:
Balancing the existing and new HVAC systems for interim capacity and occupant comfort while new/rebuilt AHUs come on line and old AHUs are removed from service during the phased construction approach. SE worked with MAI to organize HVAC ductwork and other building systems within the exposed ceiling / cloud construct for a modern, neat and spacious feel despite the existing compressed deck to deck space.
